2014 Student Showcase Winners

Each year our photojournalism students compete for top honours in our Student Showcase event which is usually held in the SAIT Library facility. Each student displays one of their best images in a print gallery setting, and the general public is encouraged to cast their vote for their favourite image. There is also an award for the best multimedia project, which is adjudicated by the instructors as well as by some select local professionals.

Brent Calver won the People’s Choice award for this image of Calgary’s Mayor Nenshi who was celebrating after his re-election in the 2013 Mayoralty race.
